The Harlan County School System offers the following career and technical education programs for students in grades 9-12: Business and Office, Marketing, Family and Consumer Sciences and Information Technology.

Career and Technical Education programs articulate with the Kentucky Community College and Technical System to better offer educational opportunities and services to all students. Programs such as Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Auto Body Repair, Medical Assisting, Health Sciences, Carpentry, Machine Tool, Diesel Technology, Auto Mechanics, Electronics, Electrical Technology and Welding Technology are available for interested students through the Kentucky Community College and Technical Systemís Harlan Campus.
